In the patriarchal world, there are extreme challenges women confront that men just do not need to face and understand. And that happens because you live in a culture made to give preference to one gender on another gender. So maybe that’s one reason why being women is not as easy as you think it is. Over the years people fought for gender equality and there are many intellects that claim to establish equality but still, women’s rights have a long way to go and even this fight is still ongoing.
So we have noted down some of the extreme challenges women encounter daily that men won’t understand!
1.Travelling alone is not an option for women
How are they supposed to walk or travel alone when every time they go out and get into the world of harassment and the real threat of violence? Of course, they can travel alone but then they have to think like men never think!
2.On periods everything is challenges
Well, do I even need to say what it’s like to have periods? However, a woman is expected to overcome and carry on their tasks irrespective of physical status. Doesn’t matter even if the cramps are serious and they had to race over to washroom frequently. Men are never going to face it neither do they understand.
3.The competition with another woman
A woman must compete with each other and in competition, the world expects them to reveal their female characteristics to achieve the top position.
4.The unnecessary tax
Tax on sanitary napkins? Seriously? Women are expected to pay tax on things that are a necessity for them. No woman asked for their monthly cycle. It’s natural but still, they are expected to pay tax on tampons and sanitary napkins.
5.The devaluation of their interests
This is a pitiful truth that when a woman progress toward becoming related in something, it consequently loses status in the eyes of the public. Ever noticed that if there are more no of women in some occupation, it automatically loses its respect?
6.One woman represents all
The world is extremely competitive and if you’re a woman then you’re under constant challenges to perform well because your actions are under a lens and that reflects on your gender.
7.According to people it’s all in a woman’s head
No matter if the patriarchy hurts one gender but they won’t care. According to the society, the misogyny that women experienced is all “in their head”.
This is not any other challenge that this gender face, it’s something very serious. All countries should untidily take a step to eradicate this permanently by enforcing strict laws. According to the recent records, nine out of ten victims of rape cases is a woman.
9.Expensive fashion products
A woman is expected to look perfect and compete with another woman. The pressure of finding out the right products for every single situation is extreme. There are so many options for them and that makes it complex while for men everything is so easy.
Now, this is something I wanted to talk about since long. Why is it so that no matter what kind of hair cut you’re getting, women will always have to pay more than men? The thing is the haircut doesn’t depend on the style anymore. It all depends on the gender.
This is an individual decision whether they want to get rid of their body hair or not but for a woman it’s not the case. They are expected to get rid of the body hair that’s obviously expensive and painful.
12.The myth that every female loves pink
Everybody thinks all the women like pink. This is not true at all. Why on earth will somebody think that each and every woman loves pink? Some of them just hate it. Therefore, it would be just fine if the manufacturers stop making every girl product pink.
A woman is expected to smile no matter if they’re sick or just not in the right mood. It feels like they should shout like a velociraptor and throw a tampon at their head because it’s easier than punching than forcefully smiling like a robot. Maybe then they’ll understand how hard it’s to smile sometimes.
